EHCC HomeWho We Are
Stretching the Mind and Spirit
|
Here at EHCC, we recognize that our church building has served our wider community life for over a hundred years, and that our steeple--in serious need of repair--is an Island treasurer. While EHCC members and friends have donated over $400,000 in pledges and gifts to repair and upgrade much of the church's structure, we need your help in saving the bell tower. "Save our Steeple" (SOS) has been formed to oversee this fund drive. We invite you to join us in keeping this living symbol of Bainbridge Island's pioneer heritage alive. Please help us raise $100,000 to save the steeple and install a new Town Bell to commemorate this cooperative endeavor between our church and the Island community. All contributions are appreciated! Donations of $100+ gets your name on the Town Bell; donations of $1,000+ ensures premium placement of your name on the Town Bell; and donations of $2,500 awards you a bronze Town Bell replica. For more information, please feel free to talk with members of the SOS steering committee: Reed Price, Bill Carruthers, Dee Eisenhauer, Don Fisher, Trudi Inslee, Bob Burkholder, Tom Kilbane, Ed Kushner, Bess Alpaugh, Jim Chapel, Alice Tawresey.
